On April 25, 2017 there will be a special election for two vacancies in The Connecticut House of Representatives. Districts 7 and 68 are up for grabs, While district 7 transitioned from Democrat to Republican. It appears Hartford may very well remain Democrat.
According to the Hartford Courant: "The state senate seats were left vacant by Democrat Eric Coleman, who resigned to pursue a judgeship, and Republican Rob Kane, who resigned to become state auditor..... McCrory and Berthel's elections maintain an even split among Democrats and Republicans in the state senate."
Given the current political climate the race is expected to be interesting to say the least.
